According to ITV News, the PS3 has been banned from prisons in Britain. Home Secretary John Reid made the move when he heard about the system's Wi-Fi capabilities, because it's believed the console "could be used to send and receive radio signals."

Now that the PS3 has updated its capabilities via a recent firmware update, it can communicate wirelessly with the PSP; users can transmit information and media between the two systems.

Well, damn. First, the PS3 is used to help researchers gather valuable medical information (Folding@Home), and now, the machine could be used to orchestrate prison breaks? Oh Sony, what have you done?
