PS3GRID, Another F@H ?

PS3 doing folding@home giving a lot of contribution on F@H reserch.

apparently, now many non-gamer (researchers) love PS3 Cell processor.
They make PS3GRID,a similar project to Folding@Home.

PS3GRID is a volunteer computing project based on the PlayStation3 and BOINC for full-atom molecular dynamics simulations and other scientific applications specially optimized for the Cell processor. Your contribution is very important because our Cell MD molecular dynamics software runs over an order of magnitude faster on the PlayStation3 opening the way to innovative computational experiments.

the bad thing is, PS3GRID need to be installed under Linux, and many PS3 owner dont install linux

HTC Membuat PDA Phone mirip iPhone

Taiwanese phone maker introduces HTC, the large Taiwanese phone maker, introduced its "Touch" mobile phone on Tuesday, boasting many of the features of the Apple iPhone.

The phone maker, which usually sells its phones directly to mobile carriers which then rebrand the phone as its own is putting alot of faith in the phone as it believes it can contribute significantly to the company's financial performance.

The Touch has a 2.8 inch color LCD screen and is based on the Windows Mobile 6 OS. Also included is a 2-megapixel digital camera, built in Wi-Fi and EDGE, and a microSD slot for added memory. In total the phone is a bit thick, measuring in at 14 millimeters.

HTC said the first carrier to recieve the device would be the European Orange and the carrier is expected to begin selling the phone next week. The rest of Europe as well as Asia will receive the phone later this month and the Americas will recieve it later this year.

While in Europe the Touch will keep its HTC brand, when it hits North America, T-Mobile will launch it under their own name.

The Touch will include HTC's "TouchFLO" technology, a technology that will allow the phone's UI to act similarly to the iPhone.

"This was a smart move for HTC, provide a really cool, local optimized, touch screen device when the iPhone launches in all the markets where you won't be able to get one immediately," JupiterResearch analyst Michael Gartenberg said.

As a media player it handles OGG/mp3/WMA/AAC audio and DivX video and includes an FM radio, voice recorder and still picture/text viewer; in PC mode, you get access to Firefox, Thunderbird, Skype, wordprocessing and other applications and about 2.5G of storage space on flash memory.

The wizpy comes in at a pretty compact 84x42x12mm and a featherlight 60g, with battery life claimed at 10 hours. It's only a prototype at the moment (though the Turbolinux folks had one connected to a Windows laptop to give the launch presentation, so it's certainly beyond the Photoshop stage), but they indicate it should be out next February for under Y30,000.

Scratch guard: 200x more durable to scratches than ordinary Taiyo Yuden DVD-R Prevents accidental scratches that may occur while putting the disc into and getting it out of the case or drive.
Fingerprint protection: The stickiness on the Triple Guard surface is less than 1/7 of the stickiness on normal Taiyo Yuden DVD-R.
Static protection: 1000x more static electric discharge, compared to normal Taiyo Yuden DVD-R.

The new, inkjet-printable Triple Guard 16x DVD-R will be released to the market on June 12 in 10 slim jewel case packs and 50 disc cakeboxes, for both (CPRM) video and data usage.
